EVsunPlug

Electric Vehicle fast charge point network

Our Mission

  1. Reach EV charging parity with gas-powered vehicles. That is, in terms of time

  2. Reduce range anxiety

  3. Provide the infrastructure needed to complete a safe and affordable EV transition

  4. Offer low-cost operations for EVs

The Problem(s)

National Renewable Energy Laboratory estimates that by 2030 there will be 33 million EVs on the road and 28 million EV charging ports will be needed to support them. The majority of charging will be at home and work, with the public network for opportunity charging and less common long trips.

Time - Charging an EV can take 8 to 12 hours with traditional chargers.

Frustration -

  • Lack of fast-charging has produced “range anxiety”.

  • Only 18.5% of current EV charging ports have fast-charge capabilities.

  • EV charging plug types are not interchangeable (need adaptors).

Money - EVs with long range come at a premium.
